StateRAMP

StateRAMP is an entity that has established a program for cloud security and compliance, serving as a counterpart to the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) at the state level. It functions as a state level certification program, evaluating and granting authorization to cloud service providers to operate within a given state's cloud infrastructure. While StateRAMP draws similarities with FedRAMP, it is customized to address the distinct requirements of each state. The program enables cloud service providers to satisfy the security criteria of multiple states by acquiring a single certification, eliminating the need for separate certification processes for each state. Ultimately, StateRAMP aims to streamline the interaction between cloud service providers and state governments while promoting the adoption of cloud services by state agencies.
