Unveiling the future of Omnissa at Omnissa Live
Today, for the first time since Omnissa became an independent company on July 1, 2024, we had the opportunity to talk about the future of digital workspaces and the future of Omnissa at Omnissa Live, our premiere digital event.
We’re incredibly excited to have the agility of a standalone business, the backing of KKR, and the experience of an established leader in end-user computing — or, as it can more accurately be called today, digital workspaces.
The role of Omnissa in the future of digital workspaces
At Omnissa Live, Shankar Iyer, CEO of Omnissa, shared his perspective on the evolution of digital workspaces, and how Omnissa is best positioned to help the world’s most advanced organizations succeed.
It’s worth emphasizing how different digital work is today, with the effects of hybrid work, employee and business expectations for experience, growing numbers of devices, and the influence of AI.
In this world, the mission of Omnissa is steadfast: We empower employees to do their best work from anywhere through smart, seamless, and secure experiences.
The Omnissa Platform is poised to become the industry de facto platform.
Omnissa is uniquely positioned to address the needs of today’s digital workspaces. By the numbers, our industry-leading products — created by our 4,000 employees, including our experienced leadership team — securely manage more than 34 million endpoints for 26,000 customers around the world. We are growing and profitable, with more than $1.5 billion in annual recurring revenue. Overall, we see a $26 billion market opportunity ahead of us.
With the support of KKR, we will be investing in three main areas:
- Technology: We are infusing AI throughout our platform and accelerating our innovation roadmap.
- Ecosystem: We are growing our technology partners and integrations.
- Go-to-market strategy: We are making it easier for customers and partners to work with us.
Omnissa innovation and ecosystem strategy
Bharath Rangarajan, our SVP of Products, laid out our innovation strategy at Omnissa Live.
There are several industry effects driving digital workspaces today: the need for a quality digital employee experience; the spread of devices, apps, tools, and technologies, which we call enterprise entropy; and the ever-present risks of security exposure.
In this environment, there is an urgent need for a company that is 100% focused on digital workspaces, providing the benefits of a unified and open platform. This is Omnissa.
We built the Omnissa Platform around our trusted Workspace ONE® and Horizon® product families, which underpin the four solutions we offer today: virtual desktops and apps, unified endpoint management, security and compliance, and digital employee experience. These solutions are uniquely integrated on our common platform services for data, identity, AI and ML, workflow, and administration. As part of our platform, we are also committed to expanding industry partnerships and providing open APIs, to give customers the flexibility and choice to incorporate their trusted technology providers.
We are entering a new era — for our company, Omnissa, for our industry, and for the digital workspace as a whole.
The unified visibility and control of the Omnissa Platform provides countless benefits, enabling smarter IT, seamless experiences, and proactive security.
In addition, we are infusing aligned, relevant, and responsible AI capabilities for use cases such as natural language–based automation that reduces the burden on enterprise IT and scales faster than entropy can take hold; Al that summarizes the environment so our customers can prove the value of investments with automatically generated reports; and new use cases that we discover with customers and partners as we explore the practical applications of data-driven insights.
With this strategy, we are delivering on our vision of the autonomous workspace that is self-healing, self-configuring, and self-securing.
Stay tuned to the Omnissa blog in the coming weeks to learn more about our AI and platform services initiatives, and to get updates on the latest strategies across our virtual desktops and apps, unified endpoint management, security and compliance, and digital employee experience solutions.
A streamlined, simplified experience with Omnissa
At Omnissa Live, we showcased our vibrant community of customers, partners, and community members. Renu Upadhyay, SVP of Marketing, relayed how Omnissa will engage with each.
Our customers have told us they believe hybrid work and AI will bring benefits to the workplace, but that they also still face talent and skills gaps. They have said they can’t afford transformation that equals disruption, and that they value reliability and agility.
To address these needs, we are investing in channel partners and employees. Solution resellers, service providers, and strategic partnerships are critical, so we are expanding coverage and optimizing these programs. Omnissa is investing in more enablement, and we will share roadmaps and simplify pricing and packaging.
Help us advocate for the customers making this transition to the Al era, fighting against entropy, building autonomous workspaces, redefining workspace experiences, and changing how work gets done.
In the last year, we have invested in our community program, and we recently shared our plans to meet you — our Omnissa customers, partners, and community — at in-person events. Stay tuned for information coming soon.
