Omnissa expands security partnerships
Today the security landscape is expanding in ways that can overwhelm IT and security teams and lead to information and function silos. When information flows freely across teams, response times can improve and fewer manual interventions are needed. Omnissa security partnerships connect the Omnissa Platform to security platforms, helping to reduce access and device risk and drive faster resolutions.
Omnissa security partnerships enable:
- Enhanced access decision making, risk analytics, and policy-based UEM responses with security information from Carbon Black, Check Point, Lookout, Pradeo, Netskope, Zimperium, and others
- Streamlined out-of-band administration for Intel vPro®-enabled devices via Workspace ONE UEM (currently in beta)
- Sharing of device posture information with identity providers including Google BeyondCorp, Microsoft Entra, and Okta
- Secure exchange of authentication and authorization data via SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
The Workspace ONE Mobile Threat Defense integration
The Omnissa Platform interconnects with security partners, sharing signals and information so that IT and security teams can make wiser access decisions and respond more quickly and decisively to device security issues. Workspace ONE® Mobile Threat Defense, our Lookout-powered advanced mobile security solution, integrates directly with Workspace ONE UEM. This Mobile Threat Defense integration with Workspace ONE UEM eases mobile security deployment and creates a connected system where elevated risk, emerging vulnerabilities, and threats can spur automated responses in Workspace ONE UEM. In addition, integration enables orchestrations across the Omnissa Platform and with third-party applications, such as IT service management platforms.

New standards continue to emerge in the security space, and Omnissa recently announced two successes in this area that increase the value that Omnissa security partnerships can provide.
Google Chrome Enterprise Device Trust
On November 6, 2024, we announced the verification of unmanaged and third-party devices prior to granting access to apps and resources via Google Chrome Enterprise Device Trust. This capability allows organizations to address BYOD and contractor device risk by verifying device posture using Google Chrome Enterprise Trust signals from either managed Chrome browsers or managed Chrome browser profiles. The verification helps address risk without managing devices. This is a strong use case for employee-owned PCs, as well as contractor devices, which are typically managed by another system. Shared Signals Framework
At Oktane 2024, we announced the reduction of risk and continuous assessment of the posture of the device and user via integration with leading security vendors using the Shared Signals Framework (SSF). Omnissa showcased an integration where Okta receives continuous, real-time events for UEM device posture state changes. Okta can make authentication and session management decisions based on Continuous Access Evaluation Protocol (CAEP) signals coming from Workspace ONE UEM. A demonstration is available here.
Join us at the Gartner IAM Summit
Omnissa is actively engaged in the OpenID Foundation Shared Signals Working Group, the organization behind the SSF that includes the Continuous Access Evaluation Protocol (CAEP) and Risk Incident Sharing and Coordination (RISC). These frameworks allow organizations to leverage security insights from various sources.
